FLORATHERIUM
A BIG, COLORFUL CHALLENGE
A random sketch of a flowery reptile became an opportunity to make my then largest and most technically complex sticker and, in turn, ignited a special interest for animal and nature character design that blossomed into a whole series of drawings. This project was the succesful resolution of many past mistakes and failed experiments.
A LEARNING EXPERIENCE THAT REQUIRED A SECOND ATTEMPT
Another special thing about this piece was the use of acrylics instead of paint markers. It was a great opportunity to perfect the use of layers to separate the lineart from the background and to develop the full linework and color palette digitally before starting the vinyl piece, which gave me control I never had before.
